MAC’s ‘The Simpsons’ makeup to debut during Comic-Con on July 26

Get ready for lots of jokes about cartoonish-looking makeup. MAC’s Marge-worthy cosmetics collection gets ready for its close-up later this month during San Diego’s Comic-Con.

Although specific details are sparse regarding the 10-piece collection (MAC promises more information will be provided closer to launch) based on the photo floated our way, it will contain at least a blush, a lip gloss, a palette of eye shadow and a pair of false eyelashes. (We’ve read that some sort of nail product is also in the mix.)

The full lineup will be on display – and available for pre-order – exclusively at the MAC brand’s boutique in the Gaslamp Quarter while Comic-Con is in full swing at the nearby San Diego Convention Center.

But hapless Homers who may be tempted to squeeze in a Kwik-E-Mart run at the same time should be forewarned that the pre-order preview is for a single day only -- July 26. Miss that and your next bite at the apple (make that doughnut) won’t be until Aug. 28 when the collection hits MAC’s e-commerce site or Sept. 4 when the collection hits bricks-and-mortar retail.
