Earthquake: 3.2 quake strikes near San Simeon

A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Monday morning nine miles from San Simeon, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 1:48 a.m. PDT at a depth of 5.6 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 20 miles from Paso Robles, 25 miles from Morro Bay and 26 miles from Atascadero.

In the last 10 days, there has been one earthquake of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
