Another former UCLA pitcher, Erik Goeddel, reaches major leagues
A fourth pitcher from UCLA’s NCAA runner-up baseball team in 2010 has reached the major leagues.
Erik Goeddel, a 24th-round draft pick of the New York Mets in 2010, was put on the Mets’ 40-man roster on Monday.
He joins Gerrit Cole, Trevor Bauer and Rob Rasmussen as former pitchers from the 2010 Bruins team who’ve joined an MLB team. He’s the 11th player under Coach John Savage to reach the majors.
