Singer Britney Spears will help spread holiday cheer, Las Vegas style, when she lights the tree Saturday at the Linq.

Crews are installing the 30-foot tree and decorating it, plus bedecking the shops and restaurants in the entertainment and retail district.

The festivities begin at 4:45 p.m. Saturday. Spears will flip the light switch around 5 p.m.

The Linq, a pedestrian mall across Las Vegas Boulevard from Caesars Palace, will launch a nightly holiday show on Dec. 5.

From 5 to 9 p.m. each hour, carolers and other entertainers will perform amid falling snowflakes in the promenade’s fountain area. Beginning Dec. 11, BMX riders will be added to the performance lineup. Stunt shows will take place every 30 minutes between 8 and 11 p.m.

Spears will continue her “Britney: Piece of Me” show at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino through December 2017.
